There are 10 days until the start of Expedition Africa and all eyes are on the weather conditions in the area surrounding Hermanus. Two days ago the first light dusting of snow fell on the Swartberg mountains and word is that high temperatures are set to only reach into the low 20’s, while lows will be well into the single digits.
Yesterday, the SA Weather and Disaster Information Service posted a ‘heavy swells’ warning with wave heights of four to six metres expected between East London and Cape Point.
With just under two weeks to go, sea conditions have time to calm, but temperatures can be expected to remain low.
