Overnight Merrell Adventure Addicts pulled out all the stops to recover from an error on the bike section that took them from being almost with BMS and Quasarlontra to almost 15km behind. But by the time South Africa woke up this morning – the 8th morning of the race (the team is on their 8th night of the race), Merrell were at the zip line, ahead of the other two, and in contention for 5th place.
As I type, they’re half-way through the rafting section and should be right near the finish now.
