International AR Event Calendar
A calendar of international adventure races that are long enough to be worth travelling to…
Events listed on this calendar are multiday adventure races, either staged or non-stop, around the world. These races are not necessarily endorsed or recommended by www.AR.co.za; this calendar is just an informative listing.
(Keeping a calendar like this updated is a nightmare! If you have an event to add or information for update, please drop me a note with the event details – as below – to lisa@ar.co.za)
Terminology
- Unassisted: organisation transports equipment to transitions; some organisations provide containers/crates for gear
- Assisted: teams need to bring support crew, usually two people, with them
- Staged: teams have to complete daily stages, sleeping at night (at least most nights)
- Non-stop: traditional adventure racing, may have darkzones for water sections
- Team format: official team format is four-person, mixed gender
