Tecnu reached Port Edward to finish at 02h57 (Thursday); Painted Wolf are 4th – they finished at 09h16.
From the finish line Heidi Muller, who is waiting to welcome her teams in, writes, “Team Tecnu Adventure racing just crossed the finish line at 02h57 in good spirits!! All smiles and tired. They said they had a good battle with Haglofs Silva until the end and are obviously disappointed that they did not get the 2nd place but they were more surviving at the end than racing. They thought that the race was even more spectacular than last year and just love the scenery and people!”.
Of Painted Wolf she writes, “Team Painted Wolf (Team 39) just came over the finish line at 09h16 in such good spirits!! Feeling very good and happy that they off the bike! They realised also again how big the gap is between RSA and international teams. They said they are very happy to race again! They are very proud of their lady Veronica (from Chile), who was only confirmed (to race with them) one week prior to the race”.
