Last night, at the inaugural star-studded Virgin Active Sport Industry Awards 2011 in Johannesburg, Hi-Tec won ‘Best Use of Digital Communications in Sport’ for their creative ‘Liquid Mountaineering’ viral video. It’s a documentary-type film that features three guys who succeed in running on water thanks to Hi-Tec’s ion mask™ technology, which gives the footwear water-repellent properties.

Brits win PER in Chile

Patagonia is on our radar as Team Red Ants are en route to Argentine Patagonia for Terra Viva AR. Red Ants departed this morning. Yesterday, Team adidasTERREX/Prunesco took their third consecutive win at the Patagonia Expedition Race in southern Chile. The latter part of the race has been plagued by bad weather, which I do hope The Red Ants will miss; their race starts on Monday.
