We were very excited about the opportunity to have a kind of ‘dry run’ for Expedition Africa in terms of the unsupported nature of the race and to judge fitness levels and test out some different foods. I think many teams had the same idea and it was a good, solid test!

Senseless at Double Moon

An adventure race does not start when the proverbial gun goes at 5am on race morning, but way before with the preparation required by all the teams to get a fully fit and functional team to the starting line. For Senseless Linebreak this was an adventure in its-self and kicked off the Kinetic Double Moon in the most dramatic way possible.

While answering another ‘what is adventure racing?’ question, I mentioned two people and described them as “good racers”. My colleague asked, “What makes them good racers?.” This is a great question because there is a distinction between being a good athlete and a good adventure racer.
