There’s a new kid on the block in the magazine realm. Now on to its third edition, ‘Do It Now’ is edited by paddler, Rhys Foster.The magazine is divided into sections that deal mostly with off-road sports, focusing on adventure, lifestyle and sport.

In 2005 and 2006 he ran 26,000 kilometers around the World, travelling West-East from Europe and through Asia, Australia and North America. 38 year old Jesper Olsen is currently running North-South from Europe, the Middle-East and through Africa. He has just entered South Africa from Swaziland.
Earlier this week I posted about Kaalvoet Jaco Swart, the guy who is walking around South Africa on bare feet; yip, no shoes. I am very interested in the condition of his feet – blistering, bruising, thickness of his soles, thorns, walking surfaces etc.
There’s a guy, Jaco Swart, who is walking around South Africa, kaalvoet. Ja, without shoes. He started his adventure in January 2009 and, just before xmas, had covered 4000km. Jaco was one of the guides on that awful blackwater tubing accident on the Storms River… must have been in early 2000…
We entered two teams for the Bonamanzi AR. Our fastest three and slowest three. Roossenekal is mountainous. It sits right on top of a ridge of mountains, but just to the west is a big open plain running between two moutainous ranges. When we heard we would be racing in Roossenekal I expected lots and lots of mountains.
To grasp all the experiences we had during the Eden race in a few pages will be demeaning. Once again, I fully understand the reason why we do Adventure Racing – it is not only the extreme adventures which we undergo, but the feeling of being a champion!
