There’s a guy, Jaco Swart, who is walking around South Africa, kaalvoet. Ja, without shoes. He started his adventure in January 2009 and, just before xmas, had covered 4000km. Jaco was one of the guides on that awful blackwater tubing accident on the Storms River… must have been in early 2000…

Bonamanzi Classic

We entered two teams for the Bonamanzi AR. Our fastest three and slowest three. Roossenekal is mountainous. It sits right on top of a ridge of mountains, but just to the west is a big open plain running between two moutainous ranges. When we heard we would be racing in Roossenekal I expected lots and lots of mountains.
