Cyanosis and the Drakensberg Grand Traverse: Part 1

On the weekend of 22-24 January, Team Cyanosis’ Ryno Griesel and Nicholas Mulder made their first attempt to break the record of the Drakensberg Grand Traverse. Weather conditions were tough, but it was finally the high altitude that was their undoing, halting our attempt after 25 hours, 38 minutes at the 89km mark of the Grand Traverse.

First Ascent Mast Challenge

Entry for the First Ascent Mast Challenge on Saturday, 17th April is now open (from 1 February 2010). The 11km route ascends from the Tokai Picnic area to the Summit of Constantiaberg. The race is against the clock and against gravity – 900 metres of it! This is a unique challenge, with a limited entry field. Trail run, MTB ride and both.

30 days, 1000 kays

CT-to-Beit-Bridge walker, Ray Chaplin, has been on the road for 30 days. On Thursday, 29 Jan, heading towards Hopetown, Ray clocked his 1000th kilometre covered. He is now 120km from Kimberley and he should get there in another four days.
