If there’s one thing more difficult and challenging than doing an overnight or multiday adventure race, it is getting to the race. Finding teammates, recruiting support crew (assisted events) and coordinating team gear, support equipment, catering, booking accommodation, transferring entry fees is an administrative nightmare.

MED: Hawkstone’s report

Team Hawkstone: Merrell Eden Duo (MED) started bright and early on Saturday morning the 30th of October at the Wilderness beach front. There were 43 teams that competed in the Classic event which is 150km (70km MTB, 60km Hike/run and 20km canoe).

Senseless: Hawkstone’s report

Greg and I had a great race and are chuffed with our first win. In Lisa’s terms, this was a ‘frilly’ race with four compulsory legs (2 x Bike 2x Run), two optional events (tubing and paintball) and CPs and OPs that had time bonuses attached for collecting them.

Senseless, not clueless

The inaugural Senseless Adventure was held at Hollybrooke Farms in Skeerpoort on 16 October 2010. The Senseless Adventure was a sprint race aimed at novices to the sport but had a number of OP’s to keep the more experienced teams on their toes.
